The XL Opium Poppy is a statement pendant lamp designed to take centre stage. Bold in scale yet refined in finish, the Iridescent colourway transforms the lamp into a striking focal point, looking just as captivating unlit as it does when illuminated.

This colourway is constructed from translucent mirror iridescent acrylic with layered frosted iridescent diffusion. The mirrored iridescent surface faces inward, reflecting light back into the shade, while the frosted exterior softens and diffuses the glow. Together, these layers create a surface that reflects and refracts light into subtle rainbow tones, catching natural light during the day and producing a rich, atmospheric glow when illuminated at night.

Inspired by midcentury modern and space age design, the Opium Poppy balances expressive material with a strong, considered familiar but unique form. At XL scale, it works beautifully as a centrepiece pendant lamp over dining tables, stairwells, or in rooms where lighting is intended to be both functional and visually impactful.

Each lamp is meticulously designed and handcrafted by Olly Denby in his Hastings workshop under the name Fleur D'Light. Precision laser-cut acrylic is carefully assembled by hand, resulting in a pendant lamp that feels substantial, detailed, and made to last.

Design & Installation

The XL Opium Poppy pendant lamp is supplied fully assembled and is designed to fit a standard 40mm pendant lamp fixture. Due to its generous scale and weight of approximately 5kg, please ensure your ceiling fixing and wiring are suitable before installation.

To enhance the iridescent effect, position the lamp where it can interact with natural or artificial light.

We have played around with a selection of colours combinations that we think look gorgeous but there is a huge selection of colours out there and we love to try new things! Please do get in contact if you would like to talk about a custom order.

We find that this fits most common light fixtures but we can supply conversion rings if yours is smaller.

Care information

These items are fragile so please take care when fitting and transporting them.

That will also pick up dirty finger marks but can be easily cleaned a microfiber cloth.

My Poppy iridescent lampshade is absolutely fabulous 🥰 in fact, it’s not just a lampshade - it’s a piece of art and pure magic for my home. It has far exceeded my expectations and photos just do not do it justice (yes really!!!)
